Characters and conversations

Find a character and a story to start

A character's introduction tells you more than a portrait alone. Choose a role, a setting and a conversation style you want to explore.

Updated

Read the introduction

Start with the character's role and opening situation. A quiet everyday conversation, a romance, a mystery and an open-world RPG ask for different kinds of replies. Use the description to decide what you can respond to right now.

Our collection includes different visual styles and companion roles. An AI girlfriend, an AI boyfriend or a trans character is still a fictional profile. A realistic portrait does not turn a conversation into a message from a human performer.

Use filters without losing the scene

Choose the available gender and style controls, then narrow by a relevant tag. Realistic and anime describe the visual presentation; tags such as Fantasy, Slow Burn or RPG describe a different aspect of the story. Read the profile after applying a filter.

For example, an adult mapmaker at a train station can work in either visual style. The scene's purpose comes from the introduction and your messages, not the filter name. If no existing profile fits, define a character yourself.

Save a profile or join a group story

Return to a saved character when you want to continue with the same starting material. A saved profile is separate from a paid media pack and from the history of a conversation.

A group story can involve more than one character. Use speaker selection to keep replies focused. If a previously available profile disappears, its creator may have changed visibility or it may be under review; account support can check an access problem.

Questions and answers

Can I choose an AI boyfriend or anime companion?

Use the character collection's available gender, style and role controls, or the supported creator options. The introduction and settings establish the character you interact with.

Are OurDream characters real people?

No. They are fictional AI profiles. Their messages and portraits do not establish a real person's identity or participation.

Why is a character no longer available?

A creator can change a profile's visibility, and moderation can restrict a public character. A broken conversation does not always mean the entire service is down.
